What do you mean by Life Coach?
I intend to support a person for a few days to improve an aspect of his life that he wants to change.
For example, stop being constantly angry or worried, caring for a backache that has lasted for years,
being able to sleep regenerated.
Who turns to you?
People who realize that they have had small or large discomforts that they have been carrying with them for a long time. They want to behave differently, or to let go a physical pain. On their own they can't get out of a loop that repeats itself without pause. These discomforts are maintained with physical blocks almost without realizing it.
What is your intervention?
Mine is primarily a talent. It is easy for me to observe a person and see his physical blocks. I have tools and experience, perception and empathy that allow me to guide the person to increase attention to that block, or blocks. For me they are very clear, obvious, while for the person himself it is not. He is so used to it that he doesn't notice it anymore. My observation will influence the observation of the person. It will become an increasingly present, careful and transformative observation.
What does transformative mean?
It means that conscious observation will lead to change the block.
When you pay attention to your breathing, the moment you think about it, the breath changes, like in this moment.
Likewise, if we consciously observe a headache or an automatic reaction of agitation,
we can influence that discomfort, we will stop beating it and the energy that was previously stopped
will begin to be able to move freely in our body and rebalance what is needed.
This also has to do with your mæssages, isn't it?
True. The mæssage for me is "to accompany the body to dissolve physical blocks - mental and emotional -
to create new spaces. Spaces for a new breath, new ideas, new enthusiasms, new horizons, new attention, new awareness "
My hands know where to act on the body of the person I am accompanying in this experience.
In the same way the energy that is released knows where to act to heal. Our bodies are an infinite set of informations,
we possess an innate wisdom that waits for nothing but having the go-ahead from that part of the mind
that pretends to maintain control.
So you will bring the person to have more attention. You will say in words what you observe and you will make your mæssages. Do you also have other tools?
Yes. Everyone is different and unique. This is why the tools I will use will be of various kinds,
to use the most of the individual's propensities. It could be writing, drawing, dancing, physical exercises, cooking,
playing, but these are just examples. Whatever I consider appropriate to use, in agreement with the
person himself, will become the instrument of a path of rediscovery.
Rediscovering means do different, new things. In many cases people are afraid to get out of their habits.
I can assure you, for my direct experience, that most of the time, when you finally take the courage to do the "leap of faith", there is a recurring phrase: "but ... that's all? It's so simple!” Usually accompanied by a joyful smile.
I imagine they will be full days!
Definitely full days but not nagging! Respect is a fundamental element. My presence will be carefully calibrated.
And there will be empty time in which to choose independently what to do or not do.
Where do you operate?
As already mentioned, I can reach the person in his life and be physically by his side. Otherwise the person can reach me in places known to me. It can be a single experience or it can become an event with frequency and duration, for example two days each month. What I want is to define times and places with the person himself and his own needs.
Between one intensive and the other the person returns "new" in everyday life and will be able to verify the effectiveness of the work done together with some "tasks" of attention. A targeted training to continue raising his awareness.
Which training is it?
Once again everything is dependent on the person in question. Taking into account the peculiarities of each one,
I will give suggestions of breathing exercises, physical exercises of various kinds, writing or reading exercises.
Attention exercises in some topical moments of the day. Self-mæssages.
All things that we have trained together in the intensive. I will also give indications in a way that the person himself
can create, in self-management, the best exercise for him in that moment.
One of your goals is also to make people independent?
What I love most of all in what I do is to share the beauty of rediscovering the responsibility combined with the intense lightness of freedom. I want to share with people the opportunity to manage our physical-emotional-mental discomforts without creating dependency with someone who can solve them for us.
The clearer our automatisms will be, the more responsible and free we will be.
